Allan Clarke, nicknamed “Sniffer”, played for Walsall, Fulham, Leicester City, Leeds United and Barnsley, and won 19 international caps for England.

He was one of English football’s greatest goal scorers who shot to fame in the much-admired and feared Leeds United team of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

He now lives in Scunthorpe and works as a travelling salesman for a firm that makes ventilating extractors for industry, as well as being an After Dinner speaker.
