Clayton Blackmore was a Welsh football player. He was a combative player who excelled at full back or in defence but could play equally well in midfield or as an emergency forward.
Blackmore came through the Manchester United youth system. He has the unique distinction of having worn every number for United from 2 to 11. While with the club, he helped the club win the FA Cup on two occasions in 1985 and then 1990 as well as the 1992 League Cup and the 1991 Cup Winner’s Cup. He left the club for Middlesbrough in 1994 after scoring 25 goals.
Since 2000 Clayton has been playing at Bangor City F.C. having made well over 150 appearances for the club and scoring 20 goals. He is still an inspirational player nurturing the talent of the youngsters in the team and passing on his valuable experience.
In January 2006, he was appointed as Bangor City First Team Manager.
